This class sources inspiration primarily from Korean and East Asian culture, including mythology, customs, and techniques. We will cover the fundamentals of handbuilding along with sculptural methods from armatures to templates and some tool-making. In addition to the building process, students will learn how to surface their creations. You will leave knowing more about sculptural ceramics, East Asian mythology, and with your own unique works of art.
